29 September 2016 – Philip Chapper & Company Limited today announced the appointment of Jonathan Chapper as Chief Executive Officer. Jonathan joined the company as Chief Operating Officer in 2013, after a successful career in law. Since then, he has spent time strengthening the core wholesale division, expanding the number of countries the company works with and has launched a distribution division.
“The last three years as COO at Philip Chapper & Company Limited have given me a deep insight into the workings of the business and of the wider healthcare industry. Having put some solid foundations in place and developed strong client relationships as COO, I am delighted to now have the responsibility of leading the company forwards. There are exciting times ahead in our business and I look forward to assuming the challenges of CEO and taking the business my father started to the next level, while maintaining our commitment to quickly supplying medicines to patients, wherever they are in the world.”
Additionally, Philip Chapper & Company Limited is pleased to announce that Manuel Kirk has joined the organisation as Sales Manager. Manuel brings with him over 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a range of international sales positions. His most recent role was International Sales Manager Europe / Americas at Martindale Pharmaceuticals, and he has also held senior international roles at Moorfields Pharmaceuticals and Bio Products Laboratory. Manuel has valuable expertise in developing sales, building relationships and leading teams in the international pharmaceutical market.
Philip Chapper, who started the business more than 40 years ago, will assume the role of Chairman.
Commenting on the two new appointments, Philip Chapper said, “I am proud to have built up the company over the last 40 or so years and establish it as one of the leading names in our field. Having worked with Jonathan over the past three years, the time is now right for me to hand over the day to day running of the company to him and allow him to continue to develop our business. I am also pleased that Manuel will be joining us at this time – his experience, proven track record and leadership skills will help shape the future of the business.”
